Chandler High School
History Rich In Tradition...
The Chandler Rotary Invitational Track Meet is the second oldest continuously run invitational meet in
Arizona.  It was started by the Wickenburg Rotary Club in 1941.  Eight schools participated in the first year,
including Chandler High School.  In 1943, the meet was moved to Chandler High School due to travel
problems and gas rationing during World War II.  Originally the meet was strictly a relay event.
During the past 60 years the meet has grown to include nearly 2000 athletes.  In 20
11, more than 75 schools
from Arizona, Colorado,
Texas, New Mexico, Idaho and British Columbia participated in the two-day event.

Between 2500 and 3000 spectators attend the event in addition to strong media coverage.

The meet is widely recognized as one of the top competitions of the year.  Performances from this meet are
typically found in the national and state rankings for the season.
An opportunity for businesses to show their support of our young athletes and their
community.
Each year the Chandler Rotary Club invites local businesses and individuals to support the track meet through advertising and
sponsorship.

The Official Program of the Track Meet
Chandler Rotary produces the official program for distribution at the track meet.  Thousands of spectators
and athletes read the program.

This year the official program contains over 30 pages.  The program lists vital track meet information,
including schedules and statistics.   Businesses as diverse as Salt River Project, Wells Fargo Bank and
Bashas' are among the many advertisers who took advantage of this powerful advertising opportunity in
past years.

The Chandler Rotary Club wishes to thank contributors to the program.
